Tie Guan Yin (铁观音), also known as Iron Goddess of Mercy. is a very famous tea originating in the 19th Century in Anxi, Fujian province of China.
The tea is named after the Chinese Goddess of Mercy Guan Yin.
Guan Yin is a female embodiment of Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva, who represents infinite compassion.
This premium grade tea was hand-picked and processed in the Spring of 2021 and direct-sourced from a small family farm.
This oolong is close to a green tea, with only a little oxidation and lightly roasted.
Characteristics: Flowery and fresh delicate aroma character, the tea liquor is golden yellow. Not easily bittered.
